Counselor that utilizes Choice Theory with my clients.

Natalie Cole has been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002. Natalie takes great pride in her work and customizes therapy to best meet the needs of each client.

I am a licensed professional counselor and supervisor with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. My professional career began with receiving my degree in Theology from Florida Theological Seminary, then eventually completing my Theological studies at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I continued my education by receiving my BA in Psychology from Langston University, and went on to receive my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University. The combination of a Theological and Therapeutic approach allows me to reach my clients from a Holistic approach. It is this unique training that I
incorporate in my counseling to assist one in achieving full homeostasis by focusing on the body, mind, and soul. I incorporate a Solution Focused/CBT approach. We work collaboratively to understand and resolve the core issues and barriers that have been a barrier to reaching full potential. I have extensive experience working with Marriage and Family Issues, adolescents, ADHD, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, adjusting to life challenges, dual
diagnosis, and Christian Counseling. My greatest asset to the counseling experience is my ability to empathize as well as sympathize with my clients, as I have faced much adversity in my life and have had to overcome many obstacles to become successful. I believe you cannot get someone where they need to go, if you have not been where they have been. I realize that choosing to take issues of concerns that are affecting you and your loved ones to a professional
counselor is a difficult choice, but it is an important first step in achieving the cohesiveness you so desire, and together we can establish creative new ways to approach and successfully deal with life’s challenges.

I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping young people through life’s transitions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University and Master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University. My professional experience includes 15 years in education working with families, middle school, high school, and college students. Having worked in the college setting, I also have a focus on career counseling. Using a client-centered approach, I help clients establish career goals, values, and roadmaps of their preferred future. My personal, professional, and educational experience allow me to support clients with issues such as:

 Family conflict
 Identity issues
 Anger management
 Career satisfaction
 Stress

As the daughter of Mexican-born immigrants, I also take special interest in assisting individuals and families struggling with acculturation, assimilation, and other issues that being first-generation may bring.
Soy una consejera con licencia profesional y con una pasión por ayudar a los jóvenes a través de las transiciones de la vida. Tengo una licenciatura en Psicología de la Universidad de Nueva York y una maestría en consejería de la Universidad Bautista de Dallas. Mi experiencia profesional incluye 15 años en la educación trabajando con familias, y los estudiantes en la secundaria, preparatoria y universidades. Como hija de inmigrantes nacidos en México, me intereso especialmente en ayudar a individuos y familias que luchan con la aculturación, la asimilación y otros problemas que la primera generación puede traer. Por que he trabajado con estudiantes universitarios, también tengo un enfoque en el asesoramiento de carrera profesional. Usando un enfoque centrado en el cliente, ayudo a los clientes a establecer objetivos profesionales, valores y mapa de ruta para su futuro preferido.
